The mountain town is famous for its skiing. In 2013, the area hosted the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Schladming-Dachstein is part of Ski amadé, and with 230 kilometres of winter pistes, the resort is a paradise for skiers. The highlight: an amazing 220-kilometre network of trails. The region is also a great place to visit in the summer: discover a sporting paradise with 1000 kilometres of hiking trails, 930 kilometres of bicycle and mountain bike routes, five golf courses, 20 via ferratas and 45 running and Nordic walking trails. You can also try your hand at rafting, canyoning, archery, paragliding, summer skiing and cross-country on the Dachstein glacier. The Schladming-Dachstein "Sommercard" card gives visitors discounts and free access to more than 100 top attractions.
