Schladming is located in the western corner of Styria to the border of Salzburg, at the foot of the Dachstein Glacier and the Planai. In 2013, the area hosted the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Schladming-Dachstein is part of Ski amadé, and with 230 kilometres of winter pistes, the resort is a paradise for skiers. The region is also a great place to visit in the summer: 1000 kilometres of hiking trails, 930 kilometres of bike routes, five golf courses and 20 via ferratas. You can also try your hand at rafting, canyoning, archery, paragliding, summer skiing and cross-country on the Dachstein glacier. The Schladming-Dachstein "Sommercard" card gives visitors discounts and free access to more than 100 top attractions.
