Long sandy beaches, culinary highlights and romantic landscapes – head for bella Italia!

La Dolce Vita at Amalfi Coast

What is more yellow? An ice-cold Limoncello or a fragrant lemon tree? Here on Italy‘s west coast, on the Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfitana winds 50 kilometres along the coast and links stunning towns and a whole variety of artistic crafts to one another: the city of Amalfi with its magnificent cathedral, ceramics art in Vietri sul Mare, the little town of Ravello with its famous music festival for classical and jazz lovers (from April to October) and Agerola, the meeting place for gourmets.

La Dolce Vita in Rimini

La dolce vita

Rimini has been one of the most popular beaches on the Adria for decades. Major events, like the ”Notte Rosa” already bring the more than one hundred kilometre strip along the coast of Emilia Romagna to life at the beginning of the peak season: on the first weekend in July, the ”pink night” attracts hundreds of thousands every year who party dressed up in a whole variety of different pink accessories or simply just admire the pink fireworks. On this day the entire city only knows one colour, so tens of thousands of pink loungers and deckchairs also appear on the beach.

La Dolce Vita in Sardinia

La dolce vita

300 days of sunshine a year, a bathing season from May to October and 2,000 kilometres of magical beaches make Sardinia the perfect holiday destination: breathtaking cliffs, cork oak forests by the Lago del Coghinas reservoir, mountain landscapes in Sopramonte, dark stalactite caves near Arbatax…. The second largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily impresses with its wonderful nature. The least you should do is visit the island‘s capital of Cagliari, which is really worth a detour: for example, for a walk under the arcades in the Via Roma or a coffee standing on Piazza Yenne, the largest square in the old town.
