LOBBY TALKS: Michael Madreiter, Hotel & Chalet PURADIES

Which topics are on the minds of our LIFESTYLEHOTELS hoteliers?

What challenges do they face? What visions and ideas are they enthusiastic about?

In the LIFESTYLEHOTELS Lobby Talks the most creative minds in the industry provide insights into their world in very personal interviews.

In a first series, we look at the effects of the Corona crisis.

What is being done to make guests feel comfortable and safe? How do hoteliers experience the situation? What can we expect in the first summer holiday after the crisis? Can something positive arise from such a situation? The LIFESTYLEHOTELS hoteliers answer these and other questions – and they remain positive despite the challenge.

In this video we talk to Michael Madreiter, Hotels & Chalets PURADIES, Leogang

A kingdom for a grape

This is the credo, slogan and at the same time the promise that has always been lived out at the K + K Kirnbauer winery, which towers above the vineyards of Deutschkreutz in sunny Burgenland. The plateau high above the “Blaufränkisch-Country” offers ideal conditions for winegrowing. Heavy loess and clay soils, warm, dry winds from the Pannonian lowlands and the thermals of nearby Lake Neusiedl are the guarantee for great wines.

In the family business, red and white wines of strong character are cultivated and developed, which are characterized by an impressive texture and by their velvety-silky creaminess. Markus Kirnbauer and his father Walter cultivate grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, Zweigelt, Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The bulk of the grape harvest is united to form the flagship of the house, the Cuvée DAS PHANTOM. Decades of experience, careful and sensitive handwork, organic farming and sustainability as well as state-of-the-art-technology allow extraordinary wines to be created vintage after vintage.
