Das Graseck \u2013 mountain hideaway & health care in the Wetterstein Mountains combines wellness with prevention.<\/strong> Those who check in here at an altitude of 900 metres are prescribed not only the tranquillity of the mountains but, if required, one or two preventive examinations as well. In this way, risk factors and certain illnesses can be detected at an early stage and treated in good time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owner Dr Sylvia Weingart<\/strong>, herself a cardiologist, conducts heart check-ups and stress tests at Graseck<\/a>, among other examinations. Together with her husband Dr Vincens Weingart<\/strong>, who, alongside his role as Head Physician of Gastroenterology at the Garmisch hospital, also performs endoscopic examinations at Graseck, she has built up a team of doctors. They come to the hotel’s specially equipped medical rooms for the preventive examinations. Just like the guests, they also arrive by cable car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the gondola’s mountain station, it is straight into what may well be Bavaria’s most beautiful waiting room. Yet there is hardly any time to enjoy the view, because there are practically no waiting times. The examinations are coordinated so that, depending on their scope, they can be completed in one day or spread comfortably over several days. What is included in the programme is decided individually in advance \u2013 whether for individual travellers or as a team event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time and space to enjoy the view after the examinations are reserved above all for overnight guests. Because aside from its unique location above the Partnach Gorge near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Graseck also brings the tranquillity of the Bavarian mountains into its interiors. In the wide armchairs of the reading room, with its generous glazing and panoramic views, one can sink into mindfulness literature, illustrated books about the Alps or an issue of THE Stylemate<\/strong>. A few steps further down, the horizon merges with the infinity pool. In the spacious sauna and relaxation area, the last thoughts of everyday life then melt away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even when an endoscopic examination is scheduled, the multi-course fine-dining menus are enjoyed with only minor modifications. Fresh, regional ingredients are a given, but deprivation is not part of the hotel’s philosophy.
