Where the jungle takes over

The ESH Hotel & Spa in Nosara, Costa Rica, is a retreat shaped by contrasts: raw architecture and tropical nature, stillness and movement, fire and water. Even its name tells part of the story. “Esh” means fire in Hebrew – a symbol of transformation that runs through the hotel’s philosophy.

Surrounded by lush vegetation and not far from the Pacific coast, the hotel feels less like it was placed into the landscape and more like it has grown into it. Existing trees, water, shade and open spaces become part of an architecture designed by FAMM Arquitectura together with Sulkin Askenazi.

Rooms & Villas

Just 29 rooms, suites and villas make up the ESH Hotel & Spa. Natural materials, handcrafted details and open-plan layouts blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Private gardens, balconies among the treetops and private plunge pools bring the jungle even closer.

Culinary

At ALMAR, flavours inspired by Mexico’s Pacific coast meet fresh fish sourced from local fishermen and organic produce from the surrounding area. Later, Ember & Ash turns its attention to the element that plays a special role at ESH: fire – with mezcal, tequila and cocktails inspired by smoke and heat.

Wellness

At Vitalis Spa, everything revolves around movement, regeneration and renewed energy. Yoga, water therapies, sauna and cold plunges create space to switch off. Those who want to venture outside will find plenty to do around Nosara – from surfing at Playa Guiones and horseback riding to kayaking and experiences in nature.
