SEEGUT ZEPPELIN: Visions Above Lake Constance
Visions Above Lake Constance
Is it the vastness of Lake Constance that inspires visions?
Is it the depth of the lake that ensures nothing here feels superficial?
And could it perhaps be the history of Friedrichshafen that reminds us great ideas take time?

Where Count von Zeppelin once built and tested his airships, one can still feel the energy that was unleashed back then. With an idea, he worked on his vision for years – until the “LZ”, the prototype of the Zeppelin, received its first name. Setbacks such as the crash of a model in 1908 would have stopped many. Yet the people of the region stood behind him, raised funds, and thus gave him the chance to continue. The Zeppelins that still glide above the lake today are a reminder never to give up on dreams.

What Connects LZ 1 and Seegut Zeppelin
A similar dream came to life in 2016 for Sandra and Hendrik Fennel. With the business plan for the “Haus am Bodensee”, a vision was created that anticipated much of what defines Seegut Zeppelin today. But here, too, it required time, patience, and dedication:
The historic villa had to be revitalized, adjoining buildings had to be constructed, and the landscaped park carefully shaped. Setbacks were part of the journey – yet they were not seen as failure, but as steps in the learning process.

Today, this vision lives on: sustainable, regionally rooted, and open to the local community. Just as citizens once supported Zeppelin, Seegut now plays its part within the region: suppliers, musicians, and residents are included, special conditions are offered – and Seegut becomes a vibrant part of the community.

Sandra and Hendrik Fennel form a strong team: she, the strategic thinker from Friedrichshafen, and he, the experienced hotelier with a visionary perspective. Together, they lead their house on Lake Constance with calmness and foresight – and with the small moments of elevation that make great ideas possible.
