Zash: Slow Luxury at the Foot of Mount Etna
Zash invites you to step out of everyday life and into a world of slow beauty—a place where history, nature, and contemporary design converge in serene harmony.
Philosophie & Design
Born from a traditional Sicilian Palmento—a wine press house turned Country Boutique Hotel & SPA—Zash beautifully blends historical fragments with modern minimalism. The “elegantly silent” aesthetic, characterized by lava stone, glass, light, and restraint, channels both nature’s presence and the spirit of the past.
The architectural vision by Iraci Architetti preserves the estate’s patrimonial elegance while introducing sleek, contemporary spaces using minimal materials.
Location & Garden
Set amid 13 hectares of fragrant citrus groves, with views of the Ionian Sea and the imposing Mount Etna, Zash is a realm of silence and authenticity. Its name—echoing the whisper of wind through leaves—reflects this enchanting connection to landscape.
Cuisine & Restaurant
In its former wine cellar, Zash houses a Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Chef Giuseppe Raciti, where tradition and creativity meet in a “slow” culinary narrative crafted from local, seasonal ingredients.
Wellness & Retreat
The spa, built from Etna lava stone and surrounded by orange trees, is a sanctuary for body and mind. Indoor pools, sauna, hammam, and treatment rooms merge garden, stone, and scent into an immersive calming experience.
Atmosphere & Experience
Zash offers a deliberate, sensory retreat. Whether lounging by the pool, wandering barefoot in the garden, or losing oneself in minimalist rooms—it’s an invitation to experience each moment more deeply.
