ARTHOTEL LASSERHAUS / BOUTIQUE DESIGNHOTEL BADHAUS: Garage to Gallery
More than just a garage
When talking about hotels, people rarely mention the garage. In the case of Boutique Designhotel Badhaus and Arthotel Lasserhaus, however, it would be a shame to only mention it in passing.

An entrance into art
It not only serves as a parking space for guests of both houses in Brixen, but can also be understood as an entrance into art. It is a deliberate slowing down – leaving everyday life behind and entering a staged spatial world as the beginning of a holiday.
A cinematic space
Arriving at the Viertel Garage designed by artist Harry Thaler, one almost enters a new futuristic dimension: a cast concrete relief with a studded surface stretches across the entire wall. Integrated into the structure is an innovative LED guidance system that intuitively leads visitors to their parking spaces, with numbers appearing digitally.
The slightly shimmering concrete floor blends seamlessly into the atmosphere, as does the mirrored ceiling. A cinematic moment is created that dissolves the boundary between function and staging. The garage becomes a drive-in artwork. A drinking water fountain integrates into the “city of water” as a living source. A touchscreen guides the way to the hotels.
About Arthotel Lasserhaus
Located in Brixen’s old town, Arthotel Lasserhaus is a noble house from the early 15th century, embedded in the historic artists’ quarter of Stufels and recognizable by its unique façade paintings. Behind its walls, with just ten rooms and suites, unfolds a quiet, almost intimate world where past and present merge.
Classical paintings meet important contemporary works, running through rooms and corridors and turning the guesthouse into a place of relaxation.

About Boutique Designhotel Badhaus
In the heart of the old town, in a place rich in history where a small stream once flowed and people gathered, a special retreat now awaits. Through a narrow alley, one reaches a quiet inner courtyard – a green oasis in the middle of the city.
A modern quartzite fountain recalls the bathhouses of the past and invites guests to linger. The hotel combines contemporary architecture with historical references: two towers in warm copper tones engage in a fascinating dialogue with the nearby White Tower.
At the trendy Viertel Bar with terrace facing Weißen-Turm-Gasse, every drink feels like Dolce Vita.
