Nesslerhof Großarl: Summer Rituals
12. June 2025
Summer rituals are simple, yet never random. They provide grounding, ask for no effort or perfection, feel light – and make life feel deeply worthwhile.
AT NESSLERHOF, SUMMER RITUALS SEEM TO EMERGE ALMOST EFFORTLESSLY:
- Before the day fully awakens, we head into the forest. The ground is soft, the light delicate – and the air filled with fresh greenery and birdsong. During forest bathing, we sense the rhythm of nature, breathe in deeply – and exhale even deeper. The stillness between the trees feels like a gentle embrace. A moment just for us.
- Fresh mountain air flows through the open window – and we know: this will be a good day. Outside, birds greet us with their chirping, the sun peeks over the mountain peaks. We follow the call of the outdoors. By the crystal-clear natural swimming pond, we gently wake our bodies with a sunrise yoga session – or a few relaxed laps in the outdoor pool. And afterwards? The anticipation of the Finesse Breakfast becomes almost too much to bear.
- Back inside, the house-style Bircher muesli is already waiting for us. Overnight oats, now rewarding us with a creamy-crunchy moment of nourishment. Apple, honey, hazelnuts, rolled oats: a composition that fuels the body for an active day in the Großarl Valley. Topped with flaxseeds, banana chips and strawberries for that extra vitamin boost – and plenty of joyful anticipation.
- After a nature-filled excursion around the Nesslerhof, we return. Our feet dip into cool water, thoughts begin to slow down. A cappuccino and homemade energy balls await – or a glass of handcrafted vermouth by hostess Tina Neudegger, refined with herbs from the Living Garden. Our gaze drifts across the peaks, the heart feels light. Maybe we flip through THE STYLEMATE. Or simply let our own thoughts dance between the pages.
- As the day draws to a close, we find a place that feels like “stay.” A moment worth holding on to. We reach for our notebook and jot down what’s to come. Thoughts, feelings – sometimes just a single word. Everything is welcome. Everything may remain.
- And when the day says goodbye and slips into the night, it does so in style. A candlelight dinner by the lake. Surrounded by flickering candles, sparkling stars, and the silver glow of the moon. Gentle laughter. Soft whispers. And a closeness that finds its place – right here.
