Ambiente Sedona – Around the Red Rocks. And Beyond.
Some landscapes deserve to be seen from every angle. In Sedona, that might mean exploring the red rocks by jeep in the morning, admiring the same landscape from a helicopter in the afternoon, and searching for distant galaxies through a telescope at night. A stay at Ambiente Sedona turns a trip to Arizona into an adventure full of different perspectives.

One Landscape, Many Perspectives
Anyone arriving in Sedona for the first time quickly understands why its red sandstone formations are so famous. Their colours change throughout the day, from warm orange to deep red. Between them lie canyons, hiking trails and dusty tracks that make us curious about what might be waiting around the next bend.
A wonderful starting point for exploring is Ambiente Sedona. Its glass-walled atriums sit right in the landscape, offering sweeping views of the rocks from the comfort of your room. But sooner or later, we want to find out what it all looks like up close.

Into the Adventure on Four Wheels
One way to do that is on a guided jeep tour through the Soldiers Pass area, where the trails wind through a landscape shaped by geological forces over millions of years. At times, towering rock walls rise beside the vehicle. At others, the view opens up across the vast formations of Red Rock Country. And as we try to guess what lies around the next corner, we begin to see just how many different sides Sedona can reveal within a few miles. Those looking for another perspective can even combine the excursion with a helicopter flight.
And Suddenly Everything Looks Different
From above, the trails we were travelling along just moments ago become thin lines. The rock formations reveal their true scale, while valleys and plateaus appear between the red mountains, stretching far beyond what we could see from the ground.
Ambiente offers a special experience for exactly this: Adventure Seeker combines a helicopter flight with a private jeep tour. First, we take in the landscape from a bird’s-eye view. Then we find ourselves right in the middle of it again. Two completely different experiences in the very same place.

An Excursion with Horses and Wine
Things move at a slightly gentler pace in Verde Valley, but the experience is no less unusual. On the Saddle & Sip excursion, guests explore the wine region on horseback before visiting local wineries. Arizona and wine? Absolutely. Verde Valley is one of the state’s wine-growing regions. Between ranchland and vineyards, we discover another side of Arizona that might not immediately come to mind when thinking of its famous red rocks. By the first glass of wine, we already have something new to tell people about Arizona.
The Adventure Doesn’t End at Sunset
Back at Ambiente Sedona, an entirely different perspective awaits. This time, we head upwards, to the private rooftop terrace of our atrium.
Sedona has held the designation of International Dark Sky Community since 2014. The city is committed to reducing light pollution and preserving the visibility of the night sky. During a private stargazing experience, guests can look through powerful telescopes alongside an astronomy expert. Planets, star clusters and distant nebulae come into view, many of them barely visible, if at all, to the naked eye.
And after a day spent among sandstone cliffs and vast valleys, even the sky seems surprisingly immense.

Back at the Atrium
Eventually, we find ourselves standing in front of the great glass walls of our atrium once again. The rocks are exactly the same as they were that morning. Only now, we see them a little differently. We know where the trails lead between them. What the landscape looks like from above. And what can be discovered beyond it once the sun has long since set.
Perhaps sometimes all it takes is a few new perspectives to truly get to know a place.
