The family-run ElisabethHotel Premium Private Retreat is situated in the centre of Mayrhofen in the Tyrol. Just a few minutes from the oasis at the foot of the Zillertal Alpine divide, the design hotel is the ideal base for sports. Alpine style meets elegance and modernity at the heart of the Zillertal: the main building with gable, balconies and carvings fuses with the sweeping lines of the modern new build. “Premium Private Retreat” is the philosophy of the ElisabethHotel and is designed to reflect the high standards of hospitality and relaxation. The hotel is also the first in the Zillertal to cater for adults only. An open and spacious layout, large windows, natural materials such as wood, natural stone and sheep’s wool and colour-coordinated features throughout the hotel and in the 70 bedrooms create the perfect ambiance for relaxing and unwinding. Rest and relaxation are also to be had in the 1600 sqm “Elisense” spa with its indoor pool, whirlpool, saunas and range of indoor and outdoor quiet areas.

The 120 sqm Heaven Penthouse Suite is the highlight of the hotel. The suite has a spacious living area, two bedrooms with a steam shower and a freestanding bath, as well as a private spa. The Heaven Penthouse Suite is on the top floor of the hotel and has wonderful views of the magnificent mountain panorama of the Zillertal.
As a member of Lifestylehotels™, Hotel Nesslerhof represents a fresh interpretation of alpine luxury. Nestled in the heart of the Großarl Valley, timeless architecture, regional materials, and the restorative power of nature come together to create a retreat where design, wellness, and exceptional hospitality exist in perfect harmony.
Located directly opposite the Kieserlbahn cable car, the hotel offers endless possibilities throughout the year. In summer, hiking and mountain biking trails begin right at the doorstep, while in winter guests enjoy immediate access to the slopes of the Großarltal–Dorfgastein ski area. At the same time, Nesslerhof invites guests to slow down and embrace a more mindful pace of life, surrounded by expansive spa facilities, elegant rooms and suites, and a culinary concept that redefines regional cuisine.
As a family-run hotel, Nesslerhof views luxury not as extravagance, but as the perfect balance of tranquillity, quality, genuine hospitality, and authentic experiences. It is a place where alpine ease becomes a way of life and every stay offers space to recharge.
At Nesslerhof, hospitality is not simply a service—it is part of the family’s heritage. The Neudegger family and their dedicated team create an atmosphere that is warm, personal, attentive, and effortlessly relaxed. Many guests return year after year, drawn not only by the exceptional location but also by the unmistakable feeling of truly arriving.
This philosophy is reflected throughout the hotel’s 86 rooms and suites. Natural oak, smoked larch, and locally sourced stone are combined with contemporary architecture, generous spaces filled with natural light, and refined fabrics. Many accommodation categories feature a private spa with an outdoor bathtub, whirlpool, or private sauna, all complemented by spectacular views across the mountains of the Großarl Valley.
Every room has been designed to combine comfort, nature, and contemporary design, offering understated elegance, generous living spaces, and an authentic sense of well-being.

The Pool Suite Bergmagie is the signature hideaway of Nesslerhof, combining exclusive living with exceptional privacy.
Spanning 194 square metres, the suite seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living. A private rooftop pool, outdoor sauna, elegant fireplace lounge, and spacious sun terraces create a retreat entirely dedicated to relaxation and personal wellbeing.
Floor-to-ceiling windows invite the surrounding alpine landscape inside, framing breathtaking mountain views. Premium materials, natural colours, and carefully curated details give the suite its timeless elegance, making it the perfect sanctuary for guests seeking tranquillity, design, and exclusivity.

The spa at Nesslerhof is far more than a traditional wellness area—it is a sanctuary dedicated to conscious regeneration. Across more than 1,800 square metres, water, warmth, and tranquillity combine to create a holistic wellness experience.
One of the highlights is the Onsen Pool, inspired by Japanese bathing culture and heated to temperatures of up to 42°C. Together with the natural cold-water pool, it creates a revitalising contrast between warmth and refreshment that benefits both body and mind.
The 25-metre heated outdoor pool flows seamlessly into the indoor pool, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding alpine landscape throughout the year. During summer, the 800-square-metre natural swimming pond in the Living Garden becomes the heart of leisurely days outdoors.
The Adults Only Spa features a selection of saunas, steam baths, infrared relaxation areas, and spacious quiet rooms based on the concept of “one guest – one lounger.” Daily sauna rituals with herbs, essential oils, and changing infusions transform every visit into a memorable wellness experience.
The spa offering is completed by Beauty by ness, where individually tailored massages, facial and body treatments, and premium skincare rituals provide lasting relaxation and holistic wellbeing.

At Nesslerhof, cuisine is an expression of regional identity and creative craftsmanship. At Atelier N, award-winning menus—honoured with two Gault&Millau toques—combine seasonal ingredients from the region with modern culinary techniques.
Close partnerships with local farmers, producers, and artisan suppliers from the Großarl Valley shape every dish and give the cuisine its distinctive character.
Guests can enjoy unforgettable culinary moments during the Signature Dinner by the natural swimming pond, where refined gastronomy meets an extraordinary outdoor setting. The Shared Table creates opportunities for conversation, new encounters, and shared memories, accompanied by exceptional menus and carefully selected wines.
Later in the evening, the elegant Spirit Bar invites guests to enjoy signature cocktails, while the hotel’s wine cellar, featuring more than 600 carefully selected labels, offers an exceptional journey for wine enthusiasts.

At Nesslerhof, nature begins right outside the front door. With more than 400 kilometres of hiking trails and around 40 traditional mountain huts, the Großarl Valley is one of Austria’s most spectacular alpine hiking destinations.
Whether it’s leisurely alpine walks, challenging summit hikes, mountain biking, or gravel biking, the region offers countless opportunities for outdoor adventures throughout the year. Host Tina Neudegger regularly accompanies guests on sunrise hikes and unique nature experiences, sharing her personal connection with the region.
Mindful movement is equally an integral part of the Nesslerhof philosophy. Yoga, retreats, and Reformer Pilates combine physical activity with regeneration. Exclusive Reformer sessions can take place not only in the hotel’s light-filled movement studio but also in selected suites or on private terraces, creating a personalised experience in complete tranquillity.
During the summer months, the Großarl Valley is increasingly becoming a sought-after coolcation destination. Pleasant temperatures, crisp mountain air, and shaded forests offer a refreshing alternative to the intense summer heat found in many southern European destinations.

The Großarl Valley captivates visitors with its unspoilt landscapes, majestic mountain scenery, and a peaceful atmosphere that has become increasingly rare. Nestled within the Hohe Tauern mountains, the region effortlessly combines authentic alpine traditions with modern comfort and outdoor experiences.
In winter, access to Ski amadé is just a few steps from the hotel. During summer, blooming alpine meadows, crystal-clear mountain lakes, and panoramic peaks invite guests to experience the Alps with all their senses.
Nesslerhof brings these unique qualities together through contemporary design, exceptional wellness, award-winning cuisine, and heartfelt hospitality. The result is far more than a hotel stay—it is a retreat for those seeking inspiration, tranquillity, and uncompromising quality.
